What is automatic channel switching and how can I access it?

Automatic channel switching allows the client device to switch to 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz channels automatically when traffic consumption reaches a threshold. This function is adopted for staying on the least congested channel for the most optimal Wi-Fi.

Using Mercku App to access automatic channel switching: 

1. Log in to Mercku App

2. Go to Settings on the bottom bar 

3. Select "Wi-Fi Settings"

Set up your preference rules according to below
  • Trigger conditions
    • Trigger upon reboot 
    • Scan at a preset time 
    • Scan at a preset time(Night only)
  • Channel scanning interval(Hour)
    • 1
    • 2
    • 3
  • Switch when traffic is lower than
    • 1 Mbps
    • 5 Mbps
    • 10 Mbps

Using Mercku web mywifi.mercku.tech to access automatic channel switching: 

1. Log in mywifi.mercku.tech 

2. Select "Settings" on the top menu

3. Go to "Wi-Fi Settings"

Set up your preference rules according to below

    • Scan at a preset time(Night only)

Note: this function is only available for firmware more than v1.9.2 on the M2.
