Increase mesh coverage is a feature that enables mesh units (M2/Bees) to switch between the 2.4 GHz channel and the 5 GHz channel. When turned on, units will automatically connect to the 2.4 GHz channel, while when turned off, the units will connect to the 5 GHz channel.

Internet speed will be faster on the 5 GHz network than the 2.4 GHz. However, 5 GHz signal coverage will be smaller. As a result, if a node is far away from the main M2 there will be a weaker signal and potential connection loss on 5 GHz. Thus, if you need a stronger signal for a distant connection, it is recommended to turn this function on. If you only require faster internet speeds and the units are placed close to each other, it is better to keep it off.

To turn on this feature, please go to the Mercku App > Select Wi-Fi Points > Select Increase Mesh Coverage
